This adorable little girl is Kriket. She is a 1 year old purebred australian shepherd. She is a mostly black and white blue merle with just a few patches of brown on her. She was pulled from a shelter in Kentucky where she was scheduled to be euthanized. Unfortunately we do not know why she was in the shelter.

Kriket is such a happy girl and has such a zest for life! She has not met a person or a dog she does not like. She wants to be everybody's friend and play all the time. She is getting very good at respecting other dogs signals. When she met Misty on Saturday-Misty was not fond of Kriket's play style. Kriket plays very typical aussie style and is physical-roughhousing. Misty is typical BC and just wants to herd. By the end of their short time together-Kriket was so cute play bowing and barking at Misty from a distance trying to entice her to play. Misty wanted no part of it.

Kriket is making very good progress here. She is now responding very well to her name when called. She crates on cue and is quiet all night in it. She has been 100% on the housebreaking-only 1 accident in the very beginning. She is much better at not jumping up on people. She knows to sit in front of me to get attention from me. I was very proud the other day when my teenage daughter and her friend were here and Kriket only leaned up against them for attention and never even thought about jumping. She does forget when she is excited-so will need continued work and patience on this. She is also still mouthy when really excited. Her leash walking is better, but she is in such a hurry-I just don't go fast enough for her! She will start to "prance" with her feet trying to control herself. This girl just did not get the foundation she needed as a puppy. She is very busy and is so funny. She wants to come out of the crate all zoomie! When she picks up a toy she automatically goes to the door and wants outside. She thinks all toys belong outide. I would not be surprised if she was an outside dog before as she has a hard time settling in the house. This girl would definitely benefit from a job! She trys SOOO hard!

She loves to run and play with Jax and has a blast in the snow. She is now able to keep up with Jax running. She would definitely love to have a playful canine sibling in her forever home. I took some pictures of her in the fresh snow the other day. Enjoy!

Kriket is available for adoption to an approved adopter. While she waits for her forever family she will be continuing her training with me. Kriket is being fostered in NE Illinois. If you have any questions about Kriket please email her foster mom at Becky@TheBorderCollieShop.com
